Research & development - Leuven | Just now
The scaling roadmap of logic technologies continues to evolve, creating opportunities for materials beyond silicon. Among the most promising candidates are two-dimensional semiconductors and related low-dimensional systems. While materials such as MoS₂, WS₂ or WSs₂ have been extensively studied, emerging systems including HfS₂, InSe and Bi₂O₂Se offer unique opportunities in terms of transport, native oxides, and integration potential.
In this role, you will help shape imec's exploration of novel materials for future transistor technologies. You will identify top material candidates, define promising device concepts, and experimentally evaluate their viability through rapid material-to-device learning cycles in our university-style lab.
You will:
You will work in a multidisciplinary environment spanning materials science, device engineering and modelling, and disseminate your results through publications and presentations.
We offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology at its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. With your talent, passion and expertise, you’ll become part of a team that makes the impossible possible. Together, we shape the technology that will determine the society of tomorrow.
We are committed to being an inclusive employer and proud of our open, multicultural, and informal working environment with ample possibilities to take initiative and show responsibility.
