Talent Recruiter (Qatar)
What you will do
As a mid-level Talent Recruiter based in Qatar, you are at the heart of imec’s growth journey in the region. You bring people and purpose together, working closely with hiring managers and candidates to deliver a smooth, high-quality recruitment experience, from first conversation to signed offer. Along the way, you act as a trusted advisor, talent matchmaker, and ambassador for the imec brand.
- Own the recruitment journey
You take full ownership of end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from intake to hire. Whether it’s supporting growth, replacing key roles, or proactively building talent pipelines, you dive deep into intake discussions to truly understand the role, the business needs, and the team context. - Get creative with sourcing
You turn hiring needs into smart recruitment strategies and proactively attract talent both locally and internationally. From job boards and social media to referrals, networks, events, and job fairs—you know how to tap into multiple channels and make them work. - Build trusted relationships
You build lasting, trust‑based relationships with hiring managers and candidates, positioning yourself as a go‑to recruitment partner who adds real value. - Champion candidate experience
You’re passionate about candidate experience. You keep candidates informed, engaged, and supported throughout the process, ensuring clear communication and a positive impression of imec at every touchpoint. - Assess with insight
You thoughtfully screen CVs, excited to uncover potential beyond the obvious. You conduct competency‑based interviews and use behavioral or personality assessments to identify candidates who are not only technically strong, but also a great organizational and team fit. - Lead offers and onboarding handovers
Once the right candidate is identified, you lead offer discussions and support a smooth transition into onboarding in collaboration with other HR teams and hiring managers. - Think beyond day-to-day recruitment
You contribute to broader Talent Acquisition initiatives such as diversity & inclusion, employer branding (including academic and research talent attraction), and continuously improving recruitment tools, processes, and systems. - Stay ahead of the game
You keep a close eye on recruitment trends, labor market developments, and new sourcing tool. Since innovation is in our DNA, we love bringing fresh ideas and best practices into the team.

Who you are
- You bring 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in end‑to‑end recruitment, including hiring international talent, ideally in a high‑tech, R&D, or semiconductor‑related environment.
- Based in Qatar, you’re comfortable recruiting across borders and time zones.
- You thrive in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven organization where competition for talent is high. You take ownership of difficult searches and consistently go beyond standard sourcing approaches to secure scarce and highly specialized profiles.
- You demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, results‑driven approach. You embrace challenges with energy and resilience and take pride in turning complex hiring needs into successful outcomes.
- You operate confidently in a multicultural, GCC context and are skilled at managing a broad range of stakeholders.
- You build credibility quickly, adapt your communication style to diverse audiences, and navigate regional and international cultural dynamics with ease.
- You are a constructive and collaborative team player who contributes positively to the wider HR and Talent Acquisition community. You offer proactive support, share knowledge, and help drive continuous improvement.
- You communicate fluently and professionally in English, with the ability to influence, advise, and engage candidates and stakeholders in a corporate environment.
