Imec is looking for a hands-on, proactive and structured Marketing Communication Professional to support our marketing team in taking the lead on all marketing communication activities for the NanoIC Pilot line.

Marketing Communication Specialist NanoIC  (50%, temporary position with a possibility of extension) 

What you will do

The NanoIC pilot line, hosted by imec and deployed by the European Chips Act, offers low-barrier access to state-of-the-art equipment, and advanced semiconductor R&D. In this role, you’ll work together with the NanoIC responsible for Work Package 9 (Communication and Dissemination) and the NanoIC project team across imec, driving an effective marcom strategy in order to raise awareness and to position the NanoIC pilot line as a key enabler for innovation and collaboration within the European semiconductor ecosystem. 
This is a temporary position (1 year), with a possibility of extension depending on project 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Marketing communications lead: Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing communications within the NanoIC project 
  • Marketing communication strategy and execution: Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy for NanoIC, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with project goals, incl.: 
    • Messaging & positioning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to further develop and maintain the NanoIC messaging house, ensuring content reflects the project’s evolving focus and achievements. 
    • Conference & event strategy and execution: Lead NanoIC’s presence at key industry conference events in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. 
    • Marketing content development coordination: Steer and develop NanoIC marketing content (digital and print) and ensure timely updates, availability and alignment with NanoIC messaging house, in collaboration with copywriting.  
    • Social media input: Provide strategic input and content suggestions to imec’s social media team in order to amplify NanoIC’s presence on LinkedIn through event highlights, project milestones, and campaign alignment. 
  • Project support: Contribute to the successful delivery of communication-related tasks within WP9 including branding, internal, and corporate communication, to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the WP9 objectives and the overall visibility and dissemination goals of the NanoIC project.

Who you are

  • A master’s degree in communications, marketing or related. 
  • Min. 4 years of marketing communication experience in an international B2B tech environment.  
  • Excellent project management skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills and native level proficiency in English. 
  • Team player with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders. 
  • Hands-on, ability to manage strategy and execution in parallel. 
  • Fluency with MS office and Powerpoint.
