Research & development - Leuven | Just now
Over the last years, the aggressive downscaling of Field-Effect Transistor (FET) devices (FinFET, NanowireFET, NanosheetFET, ForksheetFET, CFET...) has resulted in a very complex device design and understanding of electrical properties, requiring a multicompetent approach between materials, processing, metrology, device analysis and TCAD modeling. To that aim, we are looking for a strong expert of scaled compute device, able to grasp the device physics at play and to predict through TCAD modeling the device electrical properties while scaling.
As a Scientific Director, you will inspire innovation for future compute technologies. With your scientific expertise and your experience, you will connect the activities and people across TCAD, device, characterization and DTCO teams to generate better understanding, novel ideas, and a comprehensive view of future CMOS and exploratory logic devices. Externally, you will explain worldwide semiconductor technology leaders of your findings and you will also collect any industry and research state of the art to feed imec research and innovation.
As a compute device Scientific Director, you will:
