Smart Fab Learning & Development Specialist (temporary assignment)
The assignment
- We're seeking a dynamic Learning & Development Specialist to support our Smart Fab Strategic Program, which implements new business processes and software solutions for automated manufacturing. This role involves designing, delivering and coordinating the learning and development approach for this initiative.
- Initially, the focus will be on the oneFab Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Program. You will assist the program team, business representatives and expert users to enhance over 1500 users’ capabilities on both software systems and new way of working. In the next phase, your responsibilities will expand to include training activities for additional Smart Fab initiatives dealing with equipment integration, material automation and data excellence.
- Your responsibilities cover the entire Learning & Development Cycle from assessing capability needs, designing learning strategies and curriculum, developing content, leveraging Learning Technology & Platforms provided by HR, delivering training interventions to measuring learning effectiveness.
- You will be working under the guidance of the Smart Fab Change Manager.
Required knowledge and skills
- You hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Educational Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline with experience in a hands-on L&D role, preferably in a transformation setting.
- You are fluent in English; knowledge of French or Flemish is beneficial.
- You can engage and deliver in an international environment, with colleagues from all over the world.
- You have proven your capability in instructional material development and content design, with a solid understanding of workplace learning principles, curriculum development, and delivery methods (virtual/in-person).
- You can assess capability gaps and align learning strategies with business objectives.
- You are proficient with digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate, EasyGenerator) and platforms (e.g. Cornerstone) and can measure learning effectiveness.
- Understanding of change management (familiarity with the ADKAR framework), experience with facilitation and strong stakeholder collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.
- You possess strong organizational skills with an eye for detail, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Empowered by collaborative, influencing and communication skills, you are practical and service-oriented, enjoy building, fixing, and improving.
- You actively look for feedback and are quick to adjust.
- You combine a solid technical understanding with an ability to quickly grasp the complexity of imec’s high tech R&D environment.
- You will translate technical concepts into clear, practical learnings.
